ANYWAYYY this week was okay... so we had a bomb week planned out and then I feel like literally all of our appointments fell through. We weren't able to meet with any of our investigators. Sad day. And it was rainy. Like pouring rain. But it was all good cause since our appointments kept falling through we had lots of time to do some finding. Fact: tracting in the freezing rain stinks... however it's like the best thing in the world cause when you knock on a door and it's 2 freezing, soaking girls people are more inclined to open it. In fact, WE PICKED UP A FAMILY THIS WEEK!!!! So we knocked on this ladies house like a month ago and she told us to come back, we've been back so many times and it just wasn't the right time I guess. So we decided to go over right during the middle of a huge storm. We knocked and she opened. It was awesome! We shared a message with them and she was really exciting cause she wants her son to be exposed to Christ and everything. So we're meeting with them again this week. We're pretty excited about that.
We also got a referral from Salt Lake for a Mike. He just moved here from Coventry and his mother in law thought that he would be receptive to a visit from missionaries. So we went by and set something up with him and his wife. They have 2 kids as well. I'm so excited! Teaching families is the best thing in the entire world!!!
Oh cool tracting moment of the week! So we went to see our investigators-- they had a crazy week and had to cancel our lesson but we stopped by just to talk to them for a sec. Anyway, we felt like we should go knock on this one house like 5 doors down, so we did. We knocked and this cute Native lady answered. We just talked to her for a sec then she opened right up to us and said that her brother died last week and she has been having a really hard time finding peace and comfort and she has so many questions about life after death. We bore testimony of the Plan of Salvation and that she'll be able to see her brother again, she was fighting tears the whole time. Then she told us that she knew that we came for a reason and she asked us to come back on Monday night. WHAT? People asking us to come back?!? It was crazy!! But she just kept saying how she knew that we were there for a reason and that she wants to find answers. The Plan of Salvation is like the coolest thing in the world! We're stoked to go and see her tonight.
The Andersons made the 2 1/2 hour drive up to Calgary just to take us out to lunch... love those guys. |

We also had zone conference this week-- that was super awesome! There were a bunch of amazing trainings, ha but my favorite was one from our Zone leaders. They were training about how we can get out investigators that aren't progressing to progress... one of the steps that they talked about was to "be doper" yes doper...

You have to show people that you really do care and love them. And let me tell you, the people here are so easy to love! We just have to make sure that they can see how much we really do care. Ha so we just need to be Doper.
Ha ya, that's about it for the week. We have awesome plans for this week, so lets hope that works out. If not, we'll see where the Lord needs us. Life is Good.
Anywayyyy, love you guys lots. Can't wait to hear from you all next week and get pics of everything. My family is like the best in the whole world. Hope you all have a good week :)
Quote of the week: "Life is perfect for none of us. Rather than being judgmental and critical of each other, may we have the pure love of Christ for our fellow travelers in this journey through life." -- President Monson
Scripture of the week: D&C 58:42-- Behold, he who has repented of his sins, the same is forgiven, and I, the Lord, remember them no more.
Love ya!!
